Allow tasks to have multiple assigned roles (for notification pruposes)
If I have a Project Meeting which will be attended by Client, PM and Consultant and PM and Consultant are both internal users of manifestly and slack, I want to assign all 3 ROLES to the project meeting.
I know the client will not get a notification in this case (being external) but its correct to show that the meeting involves all roles.

Conditional steps and formatting that can be designated when importing a workflow
The designation to change text to a heading for import workflow with an asterisk is great. Expanding this to be able to import a list of conditional steps/ formatting for steps (bold, italic, underline, etc) would be beneficial.
Essentially a basic "code" that would allow users to import workflows with all the manifestly capability, rather than having to do conditionals in Manifestly.

Have an Inbox view
The "Dashboard" is fine but hard to know how other employees have it configured. If there were a simple "Inbox" (Process.st and MetaTask have this) then there's no question about tasks and due dates assigned to a person. That and one off tasks and you'll be hands down the best in the market.

Enhance Text Editor In Text Based Step Details
Enhance Text Editor In Text Based Step Details
We like to add context to steps by including task information in the text based step details. However, the text editor is very limited making it difficult to present text in a easily consumable fashion. Specifics:
--Multi-level lists. No way to indent a list entry to allow for a nested list
--No ability to change font color to accentuate specific text
--Pasting pre-formatted results in all formatting being stripped. Further, pasting text and then reformatting as a list results in a single bullet. Unsure what is being done to paragraph markers/line breaks…15 votes -
Convert checkbox-step to text/info step
In a process you quite often just need to describe something, give a background etc. Now there is no obvious way to do this. A simple solution to this would be to allow converting the standard "checkbox-row" to a text row (without checkbox).
The above is currently the most common request from the members of our team.

Task tags or categories
Have tags on tasks as well as checklists and add filtering in the task list by tag/category. Headers are nice, but there can be multiple types of categorization on a checklist and many ways to organize those tasks. I'm thinking of a software upgrade checklist where steps are pre and post upgrade, but can also be categorized by version or functionality in the software. Having some other tags for filtering could aid tasklist users in marking groups of related tasks as NA depending on the configuration of the software being upgraded.

submit http form via button in slack (with form parameter values from the workflow data)
For instance, when on-boarding a new person we have to create an account via a form on our website. All we need to do is post the form with a username and a password. It would be great if you had a step that could do this somehow - based on the workflow's data field(s).

substitute form data values in the description and text details of a step
You already have this "data" functionality, so why can't I just use placeholders in the description and/or text details of a step and have the values substituted there?

Ability to upload multiple pictures on the same verification step
Currently it is only possible to add a single image for verification per step. It would be extremely useful to allow adding many more verification pictures in the same step. Otherwise, one has to create as many steps just to add more pictures. It makes the checklist way more complex that it should be.

Store images, videos in a location, way that is not a publicly-accessible S3 bucket
Although the names of these assets, and hence their URIs, would be near impossible to guess, this is essentially security-by-obscurity, and allows anyone who has gotten hold of one of our image/video URIs to share it with the world. We would be much happier if these assets had IAM around them.

Add a way to alphanumerically sort workflows and checklist runs.
When creating batches of checklist runs, especially via an external tool like Zapier, they will sometimes be created out of order. This can create inefficiency as my team members would need to search through a large list of checklist runs to find the one that needs to be completed next.
The ability to sort alphanumerically would be a simple way to ensure checklist runs are displayed in the sequential order that they need to be completed.

Default settings could be pitched more towards privacy
It would be great if the ability to (accidentally) publish a workflow to the world could be restricted at an organisational level, so our users can't do that accidentally. This is a bit tied up with granularity of permissions, because currently we have to give our users Admin level role/permissions in order for them to do things like create workflows, and that brings this other privacy accident risk.

One Off Assignments
Ability to assign one off assignment/task to people outside of a normal checklist run. That way any random task that is not normally on a checklist is not forgotten if it’s open on the manifestly. It would be great if they pop up with a status like new/pending/complete.
Also be able to view those one off task as assigned by me and assigned to.

Have a "library" of tasks
There are times when there are checklists that are close but not exactly the same. The use case for this is new hire onboarding. Right now one can create copies of checklists, one for each employee role, but then the tasks in those have to be maintained separately. It would be great to be able to create and maintain a list of tasks, which could then be added to different checklists. Updating the task in the library would then update all the tasks in each different checklist, easing maintenance.

Recurrence by business days
A lot of our workflows begin when data is released on x business day of the month. I've worked around this by starting the task on the 1st of the month and setting the step(s) due date based on business days, but I would prefer to set checklist recurrence by business days.

Ability to linkify images in checklist items
Images in the checklist item are great, but when users click on them, they are taken to the image. It would be great to have the ability to linkify the images, so that when users click on the image, they are taken to a that resource.

Task Precedence
The ability to set the order of operation or have a task take precedence before the completion of following tasks. Give a prompt that the previous task must be completed before completing this tasks.
11 votesWe will implement a serialization mode for checklist so that they’ll need to be completed in the order listed.
